Description
Are you a Grade 2 Dietitian with a passion for mental health? We're looking for an experienced professional to join our collaborative multidisciplinary team at St John of God Langmore Centre on a permanent part-time basis. In this rewarding role, you'll work autonomously to deliver high-quality nutrition and dietetic services to our inpatient program, leading group therapy, providing specialist consultations, and acting as an expert guide for our care team. This is a chance to use your advanced skills in a supportive environment where you can also mentor others and drive quality improvement.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Provide senior-level nutrition and dietetic services to patients in our mental health facility, both individually and in group settings.
- Use your expert knowledge to consult with our catering service on menu development and ensure compliance with nutritional standards.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team by participating in team meetings, ward rounds, and case conferences.
- Develop and review dietary education resources and deliver educational programs to patients and other caregivers.
- Supervise and mentor students and junior caregivers, and contribute to quality improvement and research activities.
What you'll need to have:
- A tertiary qualification in Dietetics and eligibility for full membership with Dietitians Australia (DA).
- Current Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status.
- Experience working as a Dietitian in a mental health setting is essential.
- Advanced skills in nutritional assessment, evidence-based practice, and management of complex patients.
- A passion for patient-centered care and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.

Schedule: Permanent Part-Time (up to 8 hours per fortnight)
Annual Salary (Pro-Rata) + 12% Super$97,309 to $111,202
