Advanced Trainee – Medical Oncology

📌 Position Summary – Advanced Trainee (Medical Oncology):

• Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) seeks a highly motivated Advanced Trainee for the Medical Oncology Department, part of an accredited RACP training site.
• The role is split between two hospitals:
  • Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, Camperdown, NSW – 3 days per week
  • Dubbo Base Hospital, Dubbo, NSW – 2 days per week

🩺 Key Responsibilities:

• Provide supervised clinical care to oncology outpatients.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
• Teach and mentor junior doctors and medical students.
• Involve in quality assurance and telehealth service delivery.
• Manage patients with:
  • Common malignancies
  • Rare and complex cancers across urban and rural settings.
• Organize and attend multi-disciplinary tumor boards.
• Contribute to clinical trials and regulatory processes.
• Conduct rural health research projects.
• Participate in on-call rotations.
