Sutter Tracy Community Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for our Labor & Delivery unit. You will be responsible for providing individualized nursing care from admission through discharge, utilizing the nursing process to support patients and their families. This role requires a strong knowledge of nursing standards, pharmacology, and a commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, individualized nursing care to patients throughout the labor, delivery, and postpartum process.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and utilize fetal monitoring to ensure maternal and neonatal well-being.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and effectively.
• Educate patients and families on the birthing process, pain management, and newborn care.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, safety standards, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent, relevant experience in a Labor & Delivery setting.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of California.
• Required Certifications: BLS, NRP, and a Fetal Monitoring Certificate.
• ACLS certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
