Sutter Health is seeking an experienced and adaptable Registered Nurse II (Float Pool) specializing in Labor and Delivery. In this dynamic role, you will be accountable for the assessment, coordination, and delivery of holistic nursing care across multiple facilities, including Eden Medical Center, Alta Bates Medical Center, and Delta Medical Center. You will provide direct patient care, education, and support to patients and their families throughout the birthing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, individualized nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.
• Perform advanced fetal monitoring, interpret data, and respond to any changes in maternal or fetal condition.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate plans of care that incorporate psychological, spiritual, and sociocultural factors.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on the labor process, pain management options, and newborn care.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, industry standards, and best practices to promote a safe and optimal patient experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of previous clinical experience in Labor & Delivery at an acute care facility.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of California.
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM).
• Ability to float to Eden, Alta Bates, and Delta Medical Centers is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
