American Hospital Dubai is seeking a proficient and dedicated Staff Nurse for our Surgery & Urology Clinic. You will be responsible for providing direct, age-specific patient care in a dynamic outpatient setting. This role encompasses the full nursing process, from assessment to care coordination, and involves assisting with a variety of minor surgical and urological procedures while adhering to JCI standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and coordinate care plans in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Assist with urological procedures such as cystoscopy, urodynamic studies, bladder sonography, and catheterizations.
• Support minor surgical procedures including incision and drainage (I&D), biopsies, and excisions of lumps.
• Provide specialized care, including wound assessment, stoma care, and suture removal.
• Administer treatments such as intravesical instillations as prescribed.
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment, ensuring all equipment and supplies are available and properly maintained.
• Ensure accurate documentation and participate in unit-based quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (minimum 3-year full-time course duration).
• Minimum of two (2) years of recent post-graduate experience in a Surgical nursing setting.
• Must hold a valid license/registration to practice in your home country and/or country of last employment.
• A valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) is essential.
• Strong skills in patient assessment, care coordination, and prioritization in a procedural clinic environment.
• Experience with urological and minor surgical procedures is highly desirable.
