Emergency Medicine Junior Medical Officers

Salary Range:

• AUD $89,253 – $119,000/year (approximate range within MDP-2 level for junior staff)

Contract Type:

• Full-time, Temporary (12 months up to 3 years)
• Starting August 2025 or February 2026

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and manage patients in the Emergency Department under supervision
• Participate in shifts across days, nights, and weekends
• Perform basic procedures (e.g., cannulation, suturing, IV fluids)
• Participate in protected teaching and education sessions
• Maintain clear and timely documentation
• Escalate complex cases to registrars and consultants

Required Experience:

• Completion of internship (PGY1)
• Minimum 1-2 years post-graduate hospital experience (PGY2+)
• Previous emergency or acute medical rotations preferred

Educational Qualification:

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Eligible for General or Provisional Registration with the Medical Board of Australia
