Consultant Pediatric Pulmonologist | Abu Dhabi – NMC

NMC Specialty Hospital, Abu Dhabi is seeking a Consultant Pediatric Pulmonologist to deliver comprehensive care for children from 29 days to 12 years, with neonatal cover when a neonatologist is unavailable. You will provide outpatient and inpatient consultations, manage complex cases within scope, attend deliveries/CS as required, and uphold the highest clinical and ethical standards.

Key responsibilities:

Provide full-spectrum pediatric care with a focus on respiratory/pulmonology across OPD and inpatient settings
Lead and coordinate NNU activities to meet service objectives; provide neonatal cover when required
Conduct daily pediatric outpatient clinics; evaluate, diagnose, and manage cases
Order and interpret labs/imaging; prescribe medications; advise on nursing/dietary care; implement preventive measures
Attend deliveries/cesarean sections as needed; provide consult/referral services to inpatient teams
Offer consultative services to other medical departments; participate in pediatric emergency on‑call
Maintain accurate, complete medical records; protect patient confidentiality
Engage in continuous learning; review current literature and contribute to in‑service education (lectures, conferences, rounds)
Qualifications:

Graduate of an approved medical school with valid license to practice
Post‑graduate training in Pediatrics; American Board of Pediatrics certification or equivalent UK certification (Member of the Royal College of Physicians – Paeds)
Minimum 5 years’ full‑time experience as a pediatrician after residency
Current licensure in country of origin and DOH Abu Dhabi license to practice
Excellent English communication; Arabic desirable
Strong clinical judgment, leadership, and interpersonal skills; adherence to organizational bylaws, rules, and regulations
