Description
Davidson Management Consultants have been mandated to recruit a DHA licensed Clinical Psychologist with experience in Pediatric Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) for their client in Dubai which is a leading mental health center specializing in Pediatric ASD. We are looking for licensed Clinical Psychologists with a minimum of 3 years of experience with a deep understanding of ASD, including its symptoms, developmental impact, appropriate interventions and the ability to build rapport, provide education, and empower families to participate actively in their child's treatment.
Key Responsibilities
Therapeutic Interventions:
• Design and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the child's specific needs
• Provide social skills training to address difficulties in communication and social interaction
Family Support & Education:
• Provide education, counseling, and support to families and caretakers
• Empower families to understand and support their child's development and navigate challenges associated with ASD
Assessment & Treatment Planning:
• Utilize complex psychological data to formulate detailed assessments and treatment plans
• Take into account the child's unique strengths and challenges
• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for children with suspected ASD
• Integrate information from clinical history, behavioral observations, psychological tests, and interviews with family members and caregivers to establish a diagnosis
Advocacy & Collaboration:
• Advocate for the rights and well-being of children with ASD
• Collaborate with schools and community organizations to ensure they receive appropriate services and opportunities
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as educators, speech therapists, and occupational therapists
• Ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to the child's care
Service Development:
• Contribute to the development and evaluation of clinical services through audit, research, and the implementation of new initiatives to improve care for children with ASD
Requirements
• DHA licensed
• Clinical Psychologist with experience in Pediatric Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Deep understanding of ASD, including its symptoms, developmental impact, appropriate interventions
• Ability to build rapport, provide education, and empower families to participate actively in their child's treatment
• Note: Psychologists without Pediatric ASD experience would not qualify for this position
Compensation
Salary: AED 20,000 to 25,000 per month
Note: Salary mentioned is indicative. Final offer at client's discretion post-interviews.
