Description
Davidson Management Consultants have been mandated to recruit a western trained, native Arabic speaking, preferably a Saudi national, Chief Medical Officer for their client in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a large healthcare group which owns and operates hospitals and clinics across Riyadh and KSA. We are looking for a trained Physician with a minimum of 20 to 25 years of experience in leading a group of hospitals with multiple medical assets within Saudi Arabia with a minimum of 5 years as a Chief Medical Officer in their current role.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory & Risk Management:
• Ensure adherence to all relevant medical regulations, standards, and accreditation requirements
• Identify and mitigate potential medical risks and implement strategies to minimize adverse events
• Ensure effective clinical safety, professional standards, and workforce management policy frameworks
Clinical Excellence & Quality:
• Delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective patient care across all facilities
• Develop and implement clinical strategies and policies aligned with organizational goals
• Monitor key performance indicators, implement evidence-based practices, and drive continuous improvement
• Ensure patients are cared for in the most appropriate settings and support colleagues in driving improvements
Leadership & Human Resources:
• Recruit, retain, and develop physicians and other advanced practice providers
• Ensure appropriate training and sound revalidation processes to meet safety and quality objectives
• Develop systems of mutual aid that deliver flexible workforce responding to demand changes
Strategic & Financial Management:
• Develop and manage the medical budget
• Work closely with CEO and CFO to achieve organizational objectives
• Play key role in development of clinical strategy, engaging clinicians across the group
• Improve equity of access
Innovation & External Relations:
• Promote research, innovation, and adoption of best practices
• Build relationships with external stakeholders
• Advise the Group Board and Executive on key service and medical leadership issues
Requirements
• Western trained
• Native Arabic speaking
• Preferably Saudi National
• Trained Physician
• Minimum 20-25 years of experience leading a group of hospitals with multiple medical assets within Saudi Arabia
• Minimum 5 years as Chief Medical Officer in current role
Compensation
Salary: AED 90,000 per month plus family benefits
Note: Salary mentioned is indicative. Final offer at client's discretion post-interviews.
